ICC-SRCC’S Prado Selected to Participate in
       Energy Execs Leadership Program

U.S. Department of Energy’s executive leadership program offers decision-makers
an in-depth look at renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies

Eileen Prado, Executive Director of the Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (ICC-SRCC), is one of 21 industry leaders
selected to participate in the 2015 Executive Energy Leadership program. Energy Execs empowers executives to integrate clean
energy solutions in their professional and residential communities.

The five-month program is administered through the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and
offers executive decision-makers an in-depth look at renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. As part of the experience,
participants are briefed by NREL technology experts, tour research laboratories and visit renewable energy installations.

“I expect to learn so much from both the distinguished NREL professionals and the other 20 colleagues who will join me on
this journey,” Prado said. “My hope is to bring back ideas on how ICC-SRCC and the International Code Council can further
the cause to increase clean energy supplies as well as improve energy efficiencies through codes, standards, and performance
ratings our stakeholders have come to rely on us for. I was thrilled to have been selected to participate in this program.” At
the conclusion of Energy Execs, participants will present a viable clean energy project. Since its inception, more than 200
representatives of industry, government and non-profit organizations have completed the program delivered through the
Executive Energy Leadership Academy.

“Eileen’s appointment to this program is another example of how ICC-SRCC is expanding its toolbox to support renewable
energy products and systems to ensure they are ready for market and have the confidence of building and fire safety
professionals,” said International Code Council Chief Executive Officer Dominic Sims, CBO. “By choosing energy-efficient
materials and building practices, home and business owners can reduce their carbon footprint while saving money and
maintaining the comfort and productivity of their structures. It’s a winning formula for a more sustainable future.”

Prado has been the Executive Director of ICC-SRCC since 2010. She also is the Outreach Officer for the Solar Heating and
Cooling Council of the Solar Energy Industry Association and serves on the board of directors for the Global Solar Certification
Network. Along with four other organizations involved in renewable energy credentialing, she is one of the founding members of
the Clean Energy Credentialing Coalition, which works to encourage consumers and other stakeholders to look for credentialed
renewable energy, and energy efficiency professionals and products.
